The winter weather has finally caught up with my skin. The last few weeks have seen my skin break out in dry patches and it's looking pasty and sallow without makeup. I've always been extremely lucky with my skin as I very rarely get spots and never have really had problems with my skin in the past. The last few weeks though I've noticed it take a turn for the worse so I decided to do something about it and upgrade my skincare regime to more grown-up products! This may also have something to do with the fact I will soon be 26, but the less said about that, the better!
I go through phases of using luxury products when I feel I can afford it and then other periods where I lose interest and use whatever I pick up! In the last year I've been very frugal and I've used whatever cleanser and toner I have to hand and my trusty Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit, oil free moisturiser. Whilst I still love this moisturiser as it's really cooling and smells amazing, I just feel it isn't quite up to the job at the moment!
So to combat my skin woes I've started using Etat Pur cleanser. This has been in my drawer for a while. I actually picked it up at an event I attended for work. Everyone I know that uses it raves about it, so it's worth a shot.
I also decided to treat myself to this trilogy set. After some careful consideration I decided to go for trilogy. I chose this set too so I can try the products out without spending a fortune. I got the set from Amazon and it was around £30 including a full sized version of the Rosehip oil. I used it for the first time last night along with the Rosapene night cream and I was really impressed. The oil spread and sunk in easily and didn't feel greasy in the least. After using the night cream my face felt soft and hydrated even when I woke in the morning. With old moisturisers I'd feel like I'd need more very soon after applying, but with triology the freshly moisturised feel lasted ages. It's still early days but this might be my new favourite brand!
